Footer Consolidation

Overview

The department had information silos among the development teams. This resulted in over 30 active footers being built with little to no design support.

Problem: Financial regulations were changing rapidly and maintaining the footers were a major drain on development and legal teams. It also exposed the company to legal and compliance risk.

Solution: Build the footer component in the Design System and create variants to fulfill the requirements of the different Lines of Business. Tokenizing the footer allows us to make approved regulatory updates that can be applied across the organization.
